I have a question regarding the posting guidelines. I am not a photographer so it doesn't concern me but I've seen this before and I am curious...why is explicit sexual adult photography not allowed while drawn explicit art is fine? Risk of porn spamming? Legal issues?

Yes, both of those. It makes it much easier to not have a bunch of people trying to post screencaps of porn if we disallow it, and so far as the other side of legal issues, basically I worry about revenge porn. For example, in art, if someone posts your work, you can get the art taken down due to copyright violation, but in many places in the world, if someone sees porn of you physically out there, whether you consented to its distribution or not, you may lose your job, etc. It's best for all parties involved, in my personal opinion, if we just restrict the photography content to artistic nudes and suggestives. :meow:

I also have a question!! Regarding the rule about drawing minors, what if the character is *fictional*, say, from a video game or animated film, but you draw them with a loli/shota/aged-up bodytype? Would that still be acceptable? Just making sure for clarification so I know if some of my loli/shota pics are allowed or not.

Good question! I think in answer, most things of that nature are okay, so long as it's very much fictional. If there's ever a legal issue with it, I may have to have the poster take it down, but as far as our site policy itself, I'll happily allow it if it looks borderline age acceptable. There is a difference in loli and shota body types and flat out young kids in art, so far as I've seen and understood. But yes, go ahead and post it if you have it and want to share it. We're accepting of various genres, with very few exceptions! :)

    Hello!

This more of a tech than procedural query, but I wonder if there is a way to have images uploaded in the same folder (say, a pictorial serial) to load from left to right, versus the default right to left? The sort options do not seem to provide for this.

For instance, if I realize that the presentation order of a series is wrong, and want to rearrange or insert, how might I do this without removing all the images and re-uploading them?

    Thanks!

Hmmm... why would I be getting a "You do not have permission to create an album" error when I'm trying to add an image to an existing album?

Hi there, and sorry for my delay in response! I've had some stuff going on here for the last week or so.

As for the album view configuration, I may work on more options for view, but it also may stay as-is. I'll have to see about potential good ideas and the projected demand for them, whether they're worth the time to put together. (:

As for the album error - have you created five albums already?

Thanks for the reply and your ongoing effort!

As to the folders, yes, I have created five, but I'm getting the error when I try to add an image to an existing folder... not create another folder.

Alright! I know the issue! Originally, we were going to allow 5 albums for regular members, and I was waiting for someone to hit the cap and to see if that was too small a number. What do you think would be more fair? I do think a soft limit for normal members is good because it helps us reduce clutter and gives more appeal to premium and founder, but I do not want that number to be horribly intrusive. I'd love your thoughts! For now, I will be setting the album cap for members to 10. :meow:

    Thanks for replying!

I think that 10 for regular members is more than fair. But the issue for me was that the app was preventing me from adding more images to my fifth (existing) folder, while behaving as though I were trying to add a new (sixth) folder. I'll try to add another image to that fifth folder and post back.

    EDIT:

I tried it, and it let me add another image to the folder. So that's good.

I need to sort out, though, how I'm organizing my images. Having even short series in dedicated folders is the logical way to go, but could wind up requiring more folders than is practical. I'd evaluate Premium, but I need to assess response to my work first.

Thank you for your attention to this!

Hello, I wanted to ask about children in fictional works
Is it okay to post art of a character who is very much a minor in their respective show/game/film? For example, Bubbles from PPG or Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura

    If the art is sexual in nature and is of an obvious minor/child, it is not allowed (overtly sexual, like nudity or sexual acts), but if it is not sexual in nature, you're welcome to post any imagery of minors you want within normal site restrictions! I hope that helps, and sorry for the delay on response. ^^;

If you ever have questions about posting rules, you can navigate to the Help menu at the bottom right of the page. The Posting Guidelines page has a lot of info that may be useful to you! And, of course, if there's anything not on there or that you're still confused about, don't be shy to ask more stuff! :meowlove:
